Value-Based Education
Educating the heart as well as the mind — where universal human values shape confident, caring and principled learners.
What is Value-Based Education?
Educating the heart as well as the mind
At Birlik International School, Value-Based Education (VBE) places universal human values at the centre of everything we do. Alongside a rigorous academic programme, we deliberately nurture character — so that our students grow into honest, compassionate and responsible citizens of the world.
Values such as respect, integrity, unity and perseverance are not taught as a separate subject; they are woven through daily lessons, assemblies, the House System and the way our whole community treats one another.
Living Our Values Every Day
From the classroom to the community
Our students put values into action through community service, peer mentoring, House activities and reflective discussion. Teachers model these values, celebrate them, and give children real opportunities to practise kindness, fairness and leadership.
- Respect & Tolerance — embracing our diverse, multicultural community.
- Integrity — doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.
- Service — using our talents to help others and care for our environment.
